A note to Pyrateatlarge

June 29th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

Do you turn off commenting on your LJ because you are afraid of what people think?  Are you vague because you know that if you have to explain yourself, you won’t make sense?
I realize that you feel no obligation to respond to people’s comments about you.  I also know that you take every chance you’re given to toot your own horn.  So why would you post to your LJ about a fantastic victory *toot* *toot* but not tell anybody what it is, and then keep it closed from commenting, thus taking away your readers ability to share in or congratulate you on said victory.

For once since I’ve known you though, I have read something from you that could not be more true; “People see things as they want to see them, not as they are.”

It’s just too bad you don’t realize which side of that line you are on.

Three things: Why kids can’t talk good

I get home and is watching Pirate Master…
The host of the show counts the votes and his first announcement is “Asmuth, you will keep your Captaincy”

And then when the fellow who was voted off is floating away on his raft he comments “I kinda blame that little triage of guys for swaying the vote”

Oh yeah, and on the way home from work I heard Fergie singing the line ” My body stay vicious, I be up in the gym just working on my fitness”

Wow… yeah…

I don’t have anything to say but I wanted to say.. something.  The world feels like a big weird place and lately I have not felt like I belong here.  It’s hard to explain.  This is not some kind of dying thing, just more of a the world is really messed up kind of thing.  I wish there was a way to put blinders on and just go merrily about my way.

It’s going to be one of those nights, I can tell.  Only been at work an hour and I already have a pile of five emergencies… and.. as expected.. none of the on-call techs are calling me back.

I hate Mondays
