Delicious Placebo

I know some of the folks on my f-list are musicians.  Hey musicians! I need some advice!

It’s almost my birfday and I want to get a guitar and learn to play.  I gave music a go with the piano a few years ago and I did well but it’s not practical to own/move/take care of such an instrument.  So now, I’m moving on to something a bit more mobile and less expensive for beginners like me.

Now if it was up to me, I would just buy the pretty pink glitter guitar. But I figure I should base my decision on more than just looks.  I’ve done a little research and I think I need a smaller scale instrument.  I have short fingers, and short arms.  I care about the sound but I’m not preforming for anyone so cost weighs heavier than sound.  I’m going acoustic since I don’t want to bother with an amp.  I have been looking mainly on Guitar Center’s website.  I’m not sure I trust eBay for this kind of purchase.  There is a Guitar Center in the Glen Burnie area that I can go to and try things out for fit, and then buy if I find the right one.  My budget is about a hundred bucks.

So… any advice?
